As far as the CEO mentality of modern churches, check this video out. It is long but well worth the watch.

Thanks for the vid link. Out of the thousands of mega-churches in OKC, I know two pastors that aren’t CEO types. Two.

        1. Arnn

Okay, this is totally weird. I penned the above comment about the pastors here in OKC before I finished listening to podcast! So I finish listening to the podcast last night and Peter says basically the same thing about a “guy in Oklahoma” at around the 1:13 mark!! Same guy?

Another fascinating interview, fellas. Thank you!
Peter has a David Flynn-like ability to find “secrets” within God’s Word that so many others have seemingly over-looked. I look forward to reading his new book on such an interesting topic. The figure of Nimrod(and his corresponding names throughout the ages) is a topic that needs the attention of any serious bible prophecy student. The fact that he may be the one of the seven that returns as the antichrist makes a lot of biblical sense. God so often does “declare the end from the beginning”…
    Great work as always, guys!

Thank you, everyone, for an absolutely wonderful interview with so very much to offer in terms of insight regarding the Church and how we should be living in these crazy times. The bride is being prepared and many are heeding the call to “come out of her”. I always wondered how we were to attain the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ and it is now being made more clear each day that it is simply by listening to the instruction of the Holy Spirit in a renewed passion for Jesus and in striving to live by His Kingdom principles as opposed to the capitalistic system we’ve been indoctrinated into. Thank you for your lessons on humility, we will all be brought to this point if we are truly His bride and it is far easier to go willingly than to have it forced upon us. Am learning this one the hard way…..Blessings to each one of you and your families!

  4. Fugazi, you took the words right out of my mouth. Peter, Mike Heiser and David Flynn (of treasured memory)are IMHO the three most influencial “thinkers” of our times; certainly within the alternative Christian community.

Oh, I’d like to add David Lowe and Dr. Future (Mike Bennett) to the above group. All total favorites. And, of course, Sharon and Derek Gilbert as great programs hosts, as well. ( :

So grateful for all these folks have done, it has kept me sane. LOL

Great website. TY for hosting Peter. Cannot wait to read his newest book. This now gives me more audios to check out.

    1. Brad

I agree Lyn, those ppl u mentioned are incredible for sure.. however, listening to and reading all their work keepe me insane 🙂

but I’d have it no other way.

Would like to echo those sentiments as well. If it weren’t for those guys, along with others like Chris Pinto, Chris White, LA Marzulli, etc . I would be lost.

In the same breath, I have to agree with Brad…it’s what keeps people like me “insane” at least from the outside world.

u guys thougt about getting a forum for the site to make it easier for everyone to talk? its hard to keep up at times. im sure its more money, im not real keen on website creation. this is becomming my goto site. you could have a section for shows than an off topic section to dive into other areas/topics.

        1. admin

We have actually considered this. The only reason we haven’t implemented a forum on the site was because we weren’t sure if enough people would utilize it. Nothing sadder than an empty forum 🙁 But i’m looking into as we speak, if anyone else is interested please let us know! It’ll give us a better idea as to if and how to structure it.

          1. I think a forum would be a great idea, especially with all the momentum you guys are building.

  5. Arnn

Here’s a fun excercise in syllogism: I was checking my library website to see if they carried Peter’s book and one of the books with a similiar title was “The Second Coming of Steve Jobs”. So Steve Jobs is the antichrist? Har Har.

    1. admin

lol the theories could go forever and ever…the one that was, is not and was again…well, Jobs was…currently is not, but perhaps will be again? In a computer simulation? Wouldn’t be surprised. Although I doubt that’s what John meant when he penned those words.

      1. Arnn

        Hee Hee. Jobs 2.0!

I have been trying to make the case for nearly twenty years now, as I teach prophecy classes, that the Babylonian system is transient through the reigning superpower of a period of time, and in some cases geography. Because Satan is the “God of this world”, and because he is immortal his Babylonian kingdom necessarily has to transcend human periods of time, and geographical limitations. However, because of the location of the original Garden, which was in the EASTERN part of Eden (modern day MiddleEast), and where Jerusalem sits now, and the New Jerusalem will encompass (same Eden), it is necessary in the course of events and time that physical Babylon will return to its geographical location in an attempt to prohibit the physical Kingdom of God to be established. With this said, the god of this world remains committed to his ideology and plan (methods) in the existing world power(s) by promoting self and all it’s desires.
The pattern in Old Testament scriptures (post flood) is to call brides out of geographical Babylon (I.e. Sarah, Rachael, Rebecca, Ruth, etc.) to make up His bride, His people, and to establish ultimately His Kingdom, so much so that when literal Babylon is rebuilt (near future), and the final showdown begins, God will continue to call His Bride out from Babylon.
All of Scripture can be broken down into remarkably simple contrast such as these:
    1. The story of two Gardens (spiritual choice)
    2. The stories of two men, the first and second Adam (sovereign choice)
    3. The story of two kingdoms (mans choice of God to serve)
    4. The story of two cities (the Capitol of God or the Capitol of Satan, the choice is ours)
The beauty of the whole thing is how our God is going about to consolidate and establish His Kingdom through marriage to the Bride of Christ (the peoples of Babylon), and then overthrow that self same kingdom!
The secret societies of the world are also attempting to consolidate the kingdoms of this world by establishing one world language, currency, ideology, government, and religion as mortal proxies for an immortal God want-to-be.
America stands as the Babylon representative of our time, and will be replaced geographically with a literal return of the kingdom of Babylon, and it’s king. Scripture is clear about this.
    Thanks for reading!

    1. mark

america is most certainly babylon. we have the statue of isis in new york to prove it.

    2. bchaplin88

I haven’t a clue how correct that is, but thank you for taking the time to make such an interesting post.

I agree with the idea that America is not end times Babylon. The idea that it is is promoted by all cults and false religion (Islam). The true Babylon will be the established secular New World Order that will come as a result of the fall of false Babylon (which they’ll use to represent Christianity). At that time, you can bet Jesus’ promise that we’ll be hated by ALL nations will be fulfilled.

      Good bless you!

      1. bchaplin88

  7. Economic root to homosexuality? 5000 years of debt is on my reading list anyway, perhaps I’ll understand that perspective more after reading it. Can’t say I can imagine how those two relate though. Don’t mean to nit pick on one point though as it was super informative on so many things.

    Very interesting interview guys.

    1. bchaplin88

I agree. I’d guess that increased homosexuality is a result of the immorality promoted throughout western media.

Maybe the economic root enters through the motto ‘sex sells’

  8. Ray

You guys on the thies shows are full of s##t, you hardly know anything about the Assyro-babylonian people and how mutch they suffered because of some elite “blue blood” houses/Beth that dont give a f##k about them like in every rich and powerfull family in the world, in every nation dont give a f##k about the people.

Here are some facts about the Assyro-babylonian people and their accomplishment:

Who instituted the first libraries, scholarship and universities resembling the Talmudic Academies, Monastic Schools, School of Edessa/Nisibis recognized in the 3th century and referred to as the world’s first university, Academy of Gondishapur the most important medical center of the world during the 6th and 7th centuries. Further who established Islam’s first university at Harran in the late 8th century, laid the foundation of The Byzantine Rite, Roman Catholic Rite, Cathedral Schools and universities like Bologna in the 10th century? Our Assyro-babylonian intellectual contributions to western and eastern civilization are second to none and we never take credit for that, so dont compare our WORLD to your “European ancestors” more likely Asian stupid nomadic tribes and later peasant nations and the openly child molesting greek culture. A my being too hard on you or is that just history and please dont let me start on the so-called “Americans”???

    1. Jonny

No one is forcing you to listen Ray. Basil and Gonz put in a lot of effort. Post a link with yours perhaps?

      1. Ray

These guys misinforms the listeners. There is to kind of people in every ethnic group and nations, good and evil. Compare yourself with John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie or JP Morgan and maybe you will understand that you guys dont share the same interest. And one more thing, even America is build on Assyrian imperialism for your information if you know anything about the fundamentals and principles of it…

“In 1891 Yale’s great Semitic scholar William Rainey Harper came to Chicago to head John D. Rockefeller’s brand-new university. At the time, Middle Eastern studies, particularly Assyriology, were the rage, and universities were competing fiercely to build prestigious programs. J.P. Morgan had given Yale 1,000 shares of U.S. Steel to set up an Assyriology professorship” The same think happened in Europe,The House Rothchilds and Windsor in England…The House of Oppenhiem and Habsburg in Germany…The House of Medici and the Vatican.

        Oh G i wonder why?

        1. Jonny

Okay, so you disagree with something. But I’m struggling to see your point, if you wouldn’t mind explaining? It’s just been a while since I’ve listened to this podcast.
And while the ‘elite’ surely do not have my welfare in their interests, I have certainly benefited indirectly from them to at least some extent- from Western dominance and higher standards of living to somone say, in North Korea.

  9. Hey guys i really love your show.
One side note, i don’t know what Basil looks like but his voice makes me think he looks like Jeff from American Dad, no disrespect.

    1. Basil

Close, I actually look more like Roger.

  10. JJ

If “Capitalism” is part of the Babylonian system then what economic system do you propose tp put in it’s place ?…there are not many options my friends if you reject free markets then the only option is centralized economic system i.e socialism. which equals less individual freedom and more government regulations and taxes ? Nobody is saying there is a perfect economic system NO ONE. its a choice between lesser evils and free market capitalism gives more individual freedom and less tax and regulation. This is a no brianer, why this guy feels the need to detract a free market economy is beyond me ?

  11. elissaGRACE

This guy is dangerous… just like Paul says:
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Island boy is not just off, he is ignoring the scripture that refutes his vain imagination; either oblivious to or willingly distorting what is written- so if what God wants us to know actually matters, then take note:
Island boy says: I think the church is going to be cleaned up for Christ
    Jesus says:
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18
    Matthew 7:23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

oh and don;t forget the whole theme about enduring until end… if faith abounds what’s to endure?

so no- the church is NOT going to revive before Jesus gets here, we are apparently going to be nearly zeroed out in faith.

    2. no great apostasy wow?-
    1 Timothy 4:1
    Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

I think I’m looking at it (listening to it at least) don’t they have mirrors on that island?

3.”I could be wrong?” well not if the bible is a buffet and you are a picky eater… but my take is that Jesus says- man lives on EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS from the mouth of God.. not just the ones that make you feel better and smart…

    4. We have 2 choices: free market or managed market – free is just because it is based on individual choice, productivity, and demand
the alternative is men demanding other men.
Consumerism is gluttony; Jesus is just
-Matthew 20 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
    Luke 10:7
And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire.
    1 Timothy 5:18
For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

sorry island dude but the crap you are spewing is just an eraser…to your own name from the book of life bc you are adding and taking away.. (it’s a big no no.. it’s the exit ramp to hell)

    5. “mother of original sin” well that’s precisely the OPPOSITE of what God tells us himself and has Paul explain in Romans, 1 Corinthians and Hebrews..
God says Eve is the “Mother of all living”…

    Romans 5
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
1cor15:22 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

    Psalm 1:1
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
