CCR006: Doug Hamp Interview for Corrupting the Image

Play

OUR DNA IS A TARGET FOR THE FALLEN ONE! A great conversation with author, researcher, and Bible scholar Douglas Hamp. His latest book Corrupting the Image: Angels, Aliens, and the AntiChrist Revealed is a fresh look at Biblical prophecy. We dig into the various aspects of his book including the biology of Adam, Jesus, and the Antichrist, the Sons of God of Genesis 6, the counterfeit rapture, the mark of the beast, and more.

Very interesting show, guys. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together.

You touched briefly on the rapture in this episode and hope you speak about it more in the future. Some people who I’ve spoken with about the rapture seem to think that when it happens, they (who believe are worthy) will be spared from any suffering. But the way I interpret things is that we Christians will not be spared any suffering, but will first be prosecuted and (possibly) killed for our beliefs – later to rise once again to be with Jesus.

The scripture that makes me think this is in Revelations, 20:4:

“Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”

And in Paul’s letter to Timothy, 3:12:
” In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,”

So, to think that Christians will be spared any suffering, in my opinion, certainly sets up a lot of people to lose their faith once they discover they have not been saved in the rapture. Is that, in fact, Satan’s plan?

    What do you think?

      Thanks for the post David,

“So, to think that Christians will be spared any suffering, in my opinion, certainly sets up a lot of people to lose their faith once they discover they have not been saved in the rapture. Is that, in fact, Satan’s plan?”

In the case of your question above, I believe that if someone is a Christian, or a Christ follower at the time of the rapture they will, in fact, be raptured. Thus, they will not be left here to wonder why they were not raptured, leaving their faith very much in tact.

On the point of Christians being spare of suffering, I think we all agree that Christians are not immune to persecution. In fact many Christians around the world are experiencing severe persecution today, being imprisoned or even killed for their faith. Others, like us in the U.S., experience our own type of persecution, usually in the form of mockery or exclusion. The Media loves to portray Christians in a negative light and even form less-than-favorable stereotypes that get injected into American culture. So in the context of Paul’s letter to timothy, it is very true.

Now the question of Christians being subjected to the suffering of the tribulation is a very different debate. The pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, post-tribulation schools of thought have been argued over since the beginning of any modern Christians memory.

Thanks for taking time to reply!

  2. Mr. Stacey Pittman

I’ve been listening to your interview with Mr.Hamp particularly the section about DNA and light. In the early nineties I knew a dear sweet lady named Mary. Mary was saved and contracted HIV AIDS through a blood transfusion and died. I didn’t know Mary had AIDS until she passed away and the last time saw Mary she was GLOWING!!!! I saw her across a parking lot walking toward me…I was speechless. Mary was perfect in appearance. the light was coming out from her…not like shining down upon her but from her and the first thing I thought of was when Moses had been in the presence of God. So I’ve seen that light and there are no words…really that one could use to describe it…it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Mary had been in the true presence of God that afternoon..still powerful after all these years. I think you guys are doing a good job keep it up. Take care. Stacey from North Carolina.

on this also on another note i still would very much like to hear basils testimony ?? in the gospel of Thomas he clearly tells us the kingdom of heaven is spread out all over the face of the earth but we do not see it

Fantastic show, please keep making them!
I like the informal format – its good to hear issues disussed without wierd music over it. God is good, but the more I get to know him he is staggeringly strange – but his ways are perfect(of course). Blessings to you all from the UK!

    Great show brothers!
God’s mercy to us in these times is profound. I’ve often had the same thoughts i.e. that God must intervene soon as humans are increasingly tinkering with the DNA code, combined with the “Alien” social programming and what the Bible has to say regarding it all. Keep preaching the gospel, keep up the effort! Blessings to y’all in Christ Jesus from N.C.

    I have a question…
Do you think that all of those half creatures and half man that you see in ancient architecture, religions and art work are actually chimeras that have been cooked up in some pre Atlantean lab?
And from what I gather some of these (unredeemable?) hybrid creatures were worshipped in some ancient cultures…
    Just a thought…
Doug Hamp, I just can’t get enough of that guy!
This is a great website…glad I found it!
    Keep up the good work.
    Glad I found it!
